Located on a 22-acre plot, the Lote plant manufactures the rice-weedicide, Anilofos, the pesticide intermediate Cypermethric Acid Chloride (CMAC), and several other products like Rafoxanide, Mepiquat Chloride, Temephos, etc. A plant manufacturing Chloropyrifos was commissioned in September 1996. Lote also has plant faclities for scale up, kinetic study and manuacture of new products for market trials.</small></font></p> </blockquote> <blockquote> <p><font face="Verdana"><font color="#FFAB57"><strong>T</strong></font><small>he Lote unit is growing fast and has had a 100% growth in turnover since 1994. Gharda Chemicals is the first company world wide to go into the large-scale production of Anilofos, the rice weedicide. New R&D and Quality Control laboratories were commissioned in August 1996. Built along international standards on a huge area of 75 acres, the plant manufactures specialty polymers.</small></font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><font color="#FFAB57"><strong>T</strong></font><small>wo core technologies for the manufacture of Polymers- solution and emulsion polymerisation- have been developed by Gharda at this plant to enable it to produce a series of basic polymer resins. Gharda has built a world class plant at Panoli to manufacture Polyether Sulfone (PES) under the trade name GAFONE<sup>TM</sup>.
