Awards, Achievements and Firsts of Gharda Chemicals Limited

Of these, four have been the prestigious </font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFAB57"><strong><em>Sir P.C. Ray Award</em></strong></font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFFFFF">. In 1989, Gharda was honoured with the </font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFAB57"><strong><em>Ministry of Science and Technology Award</em></strong></font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFFFFF"> for the Best in-house R&D in the Chemical Industry, and the </font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFAB57"><strong><em>ICMA Award</em></strong></font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFFFFF"> for Process Design and Engineering of Chemical Plants. In December 1991, Gharda received the </font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFAB57"><strong><em>Chemexcil First Export Award</em></strong></font><font face="Verdana" size="2" color="#FFFFFF"> for outstanding export performance.</font></p> <p><small><font color="#FFAB57" face="Verdana"><strong>The Sir P.C. Though none of these products were new, significant innovations in the manufacturing processes were developed. This won the company the prestigious Sir P.C. Ray Award which is instituted by the Indian Chemicals Manufacturing Association. This Award was honoured on Gharda Chemicals because of its outstanding achievements in the Chemical and Allied Sector. Gharda and the late Mr. R.M. Kawasmaneck assisted by ten non-graduate employees, commenced manufacture of two products-a textile auxillary and ingrain brilliant blue. Both products were being manufactured for the first time in India and found a ready market. And the partnership company was converted into a Private Limited company on 7th March, 1967.
