HAZOP of all processes are carried out and reviewed time to time. Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis (HIRA) is carried out for all routine and non-routine activities. Job Safety Analysis is a part of work permit system.

GCL evaluates its safety performance by tracking both leading and lagging indicators and identify appropriate solutions for strengthening the safety culture for achieving the goal of "Zero Accident".

Every year, we observe National Safety Day/ Week, fire service day to raise safety awareness among employees and contractors and recognize their efforts for safety by giving awards and certificates. There are various safety award schemes to promote safety culture among employees.

We conduct health awareness sessions on mental health, first aid, heat stress, dengue prevention, Personal Hygiene, diabetes, dry eyes, and cancer. We also organize stress management, diet and lifestyle management, and meditation awareness seminars.
