Renewable Energy Projects Implemented in Gharda Group Companies
  • Purchase of Wind Power up to 05 MW for GCL, Dombivli under captive generation mechanism through Wind Energy Generators (WEG) in Maharashtra. Wind Power generation has been started from April, 2022.
  • Purchase of Hybrid Power up to 1.6 MW for GIL, Ankleshwar through open access in Gujarat. Wind Power generation has been started from October, 2022.
  • Purchase of Hybrid Power up to 1.35 MW for GCL, Panoli through open access in Gujarat. Wind Power generation has been started from November, 2022.
  • Purchase of Wind Power up to 5.6 MW for GCL, Lote under captive generation mechanism. Wind power generation has been started from January, 2023.
  • Purchase of Solar Power up to 07 MW for GCL, Lote under captive generation mechanism. Solar power generation is going to be started soon.

Product Stewardship

Product Stewardship is an important pillar of our sustainable management strategy. GCL is committed for adopting sustainability and responsible care charter within all its product life cycles and management systems. GCL is committed to make efforts for minimizing the product's environmental impact throughout all stages of the products' life cycle, including end of life management.

GCL is complying with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and recycling the plastic waste generated due to our formulated products sold out in domestic market all over the country.

GCL has taken up the task of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for all major products to know their total environment impacts and identify opportunities for mitigation of environmental impacts of our products and develop greener products.

We provide all information about our products on the product label and ensure product safety information is communicated down the supply chain through material safety data sheets (MSDS) and Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). We ensure transportation of dangerous goods in compliance with International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) requirements.
